Every year, I write a post on Facebook on January 1st to look back on my yearly reads. I check stats, list my favorites, and then tag the friends who request it. Once again, I'm adding it here for myself.
This year I read 121 books. I set my goal as 100, but kind of hoped for 120 meaning 10/month and I did get that right under the wire. This meant over 47,000 pages and averaging 390 pages per book. I was hoping for about 400 on average, so that's not too far off. Twenty-two were ARCs or book tours, and just one was an audio book this year. Said audiobook was actually completed on the way to the ski trip I am currently on.
So what were my favorite reads? In no particular order but calendar:
- The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
- The Other Princess by Denny S. Bryce
- The Women by Kristin Hannah
- Surviving Savannah by Patti Callahan
- The Book of Doors by Gareth Brown
- The Sunflower House by Adriana Allegri
- The Librarian Spy by Madeline Martin
- Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly
- Daughter of the Reich by Louise Fein
- American Duchess by Karen Harper
- Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid
- The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane by Katherine Howe
- Looking for Jane by Heather Marshall
- The Library of Lost Dollhouses by Elise Hooper
