November Reading Round Up

November was not a solid reading month for me.  As an elementary teacher, sickness has been sweeping through the school. I picked up something around Halloween which lasted throughout the entire month.

Even the hopes of being able to read over Thanksgiving break were dashed.  I spent much of my time napping in our condo in Vail, with a little bit of skiing and a lot of sitting in the hot tub to break it up.

So what did I read in November?

Our Sister's Grave by B.R. Spangler - This is actually for a book review in January, check back, around 1/14 to read about my thoughts.  It is a series I love, so I can tell you it's going to be a recommended read.

Dirty Thirty by Janet Evanovich - The latest in the Stephanie Plum series.  Another series I love and always provides me with a ton of laughs.

Hello Universe by Erin Estrada Kelly - This was on my list to maybe buy for my classroom, so I bought it for myself to check it out.  The intersecting story of four students on a random summer day was a sweet read that I may use as an after lunch read aloud for my kids.

Definitely a short month for me!  I am reading Number the Stars with one of my small eading groups and a very abridged version of Don Quixote with my regular ELA class.  I need to make more time for my own reading though.
