Pecan Pies and Homicides by Ellery Adams

Vacation time!  And my goal was to read at least three books over the week, considering there was going to be two flights and a whole lot of laying by the pool time.

About Pecan Pies and Homicides:

Owning the Charmed Pie Shoppe and serving enchanted treats in the magical town of Havenwood, Georgia, seemed like a little slice of heaven for Ella Mae LeFaye. But now her hopes for both a lasting romance with Hugh Dylan and business success are starting to seem like pie in the sky, and Ella’s left wondering: Where has the magic gone?

When an enchanted grove is set ablaze, Ella realizes she has more grave problems. With her magic waning, she’s going to have to sleuth from scratch to stop an arsonist who has no respect for sacred ground—or human life…

My Thoughts:

I'm loving the continuation of this series, but a little sad to realize it's only 5 books. While each book in the series contains a specific mystery, the story of the town itself, along with the magical powers of the residents, develops a little more in each book.  I'm really looking forward to finding answers as to how the town derives their powers and who the enemies are.
